Paul Blank, 83, owner and operator of the
now-defunct Cee Bee Contractors in District Heights,
died Nov. 1 at Prince George's Hospital Center after a
heart attack. He was Bowie resident.
Mr. Blank spent about 25 years running his company before the business
closed in the early 1980s. He had spent the past several years working
part-time at a Lowe's store in Bowie, helping customers estimate the
materials needed for projects.
Mr. Blank was a native Washingtonian and a graduate of Eastern High
School and the old Wilson Teachers College.
He served in the merchant marine during World War II.
He was a past president of the Prince George's County Boys and Girls
Club and of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Maryland.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sarah Ruth Crary Blank of Bowie;
three children, Roy C. Blank of Fort Mill, S.C., Victor P. Blank of Little
River, S.C., and Whitney Caricofe of Grasonville, Md.; five
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
