Olive C. Zanelli Cogswell

Olive C. Cogswell, 94, a secretary in the Farm Credit Administration from 1933 until her retirement in 1953, died Sept. 16 at
Powhatan Nursing Home in Falls Church after a stroke. She was a McLean resident.
Mrs. Cogswell was a member of Arlington's Trinity Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday school in the early 1950s. In
1964, she helped create the church-affiliated Columbia Pike Thrift Shop in Arlington.
Olive Cornell Zanelli was born in Brentwood and raised in Washington. She graduated from  Eastern High School in 1932.
Her husband of 65 years, William N. Cogswell Sr., died in 1998.
Survivors include two children, William N. Cogswell Jr. of Arlington and Ellen C. Zerbe of McLean; nine grandchildren; and 10        
great-grandchildren.
