Lyle Terrell Cheatham

Lyle Terrell "Joe" Cheatham, 89, a resident of West River since 1969, died Dec. 31, 2009 at home after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Cheatham was born Oct. 6, 1920, in Washington, D.C., and was a 1939 graduate of
Eastern High School in Washington, D.C. He retired
in 1992 as Treasurer of CORMAN Construction in Annapolis Junction after 48 years of service. He was an active member of First Baptist
Church of Deale, where he served as an usher and trustee. His hobbies included football and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Cheatham who died in 1992. He is survived by his son, William Cheatham; his daughter,
Carol A. Hengst; his sister, Phylis M. Dellinger; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4 at Hardesty Funeral Home P.A., 905 Galesville Road, Galesville, where
funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. Interment will be in Lakemont Cemetery, Davidsonville.
