Gloria Antonioli Reese, 80, a postal clerk in Northern Virginia from 1965 to 1983, died of ovarian cancer Dec. 29 at Inova Mount
Vernon Hospital. She lived in Alexandria.
Mrs. Reese was born in Pescara, Italy, and raised mostly in Washington. She attended Eastern High School.
She did volunteer work for the Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Auxiliary.
She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Alexandria and the George Washington lodge of the Sons of Italy.
Her marriage to Willie Whittington ended in divorce.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, William Reese of Alexandria; five children from the first marriage, Lee Whittington of
Plantation, Fla., Joseph Whittington of Portland, Ore., and Cynthia Low, Brandon Whittington and Ray Whittington, all of
Alexandria; four stepdaughters, Donna Reese of Laurel, Karen Jacobius of Gainesville, Cyndi Rose of Falls Church and Anita
Moss of Kittrell, N.C.; a sister, Volga Dewey of Sacramento; two brothers, Joseph Antonioli of Sacramento and Anthony Antonioli
of Hamilton, Va.; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
