| Gertrude Mayerhofer "Tootsie" Rysdyk, 88, a former Hyattsville homemaker who volunteered in Prince George's County public schools, died Nov. 3 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She had pneumonia and a stroke. |

| Mrs. Rysdyk was an Annapolis native and resident. She was raised in Washington, where she was a 1937 graduate of Eastern High School. |
|
|
| Early in her career, she did counter sales work for her family's bakery and worked in the fiscal accounting department of the Army Quartermaster General's office in Washington. |
|
|
| Her hobbies included crocheting and doing puzzles. |
|
|
| Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Edward Rysdyk of Annapolis; two daughters, Robyn Johnson of Laytonsville and Debra Rysdyk of Annapolis; a sister; and three grandchildren. |
