Elizabeth A. Randolph Roberts, 72, a retired State Department administrative assistant, died Sept. 20 at her
home in Gaithersburg. She had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Elizabeth Randolph, a native Washingtonian, graduated from Eastern High School and joined the State
Department in 1954. She retired in 1992.
She lived in Silver Spring before moving to Gaithersburg 18 years ago. She was a member of St. Patrick's
Catholic Church in Rockville.
Her husband of 45 years, Leonard J. Roberts, died in 2003.
Survivors include a daughter, Leslie R. Vetter of Gaithersburg, and a sister, Carole M. Randolph of Rockville.
