Elizabeth DeGraffenreid Webb, 84, a retired employee of the old Federal Home Loan Bank Board, died Oct. 13 of congestive
heart failure at her home in Upper Marlboro.
Mrs. Webb worked for the bank board for 19 years, retiring in 1985. She was a native Washingtonian who graduated from
Eastern High School in 1938. Her family owned a seven-store chain of White Front Market groceries during the Depression, and
she worked for several years at Woodward Lothrop.
After her retirement, she moved to Front Royal, Va., for 13 years and then to Upper Marlboro.
Her husband of 50 years, Charles E. Webb, died in 1994.
Survivors include her son, Charles E. Webb Jr. of Upper Marlboro; four granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
