Elinor B. Collison

Elinor Blanche Collison, 93, a 35-year resident of Edgewater and previously of Washington, D.C., died of natural causes Dec. 17, 2009 at
her home.
Born March 13, 1916, in Kansas City, Mo., Elinor graduated from
Eastern High School in Washington, D.C.
She was employed as a clerk with C & P Telephone Company (now Verizon) for over 30 years. Her memberships included Meals on Wheels,
Pets on Wheels (for 15 years) and Telephone Pioneers of America. Elinor enjoyed sewing, Boston Terrier dogs, gardening, crossword
puzzles and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Philip Collison of Annapolis and Linda Cole of Gaithersburg; seven grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Elinor's Life Celebration Tuesday, Dec. 22 from 10:30 a.m. until funeral service begins at 11:30 a.m. at the George P.
Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
