Doris Sullivan Pessagno

          DORIS SULLIVAN PESSAGNO  

   Of Boynton Beach, FL, age 94, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at
St. Mary's Nursing Center in Leonardtown, MD.

   She was born in Wilderness, VA on April 2, 1916, living in
Washington, DC and suburban Maryland before retiring to Florida.

   She was the widow of Charles A. Pessagno, Sr., to whom she had
been married for over 50 years. Surviving are her children, Carolyn E.
Paul, of Edgewater, MD, Charles A. Pessagno, Jr., of Valley Lee, MD
and Thomas N. Pessagno, of Boynton Beach, FL; seven grandchildren
and 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Myrtle S. Pessagno of Temple
Hills, MD.

   A graduate of
Eastern High School, she commenced her government
career in the DC public library system, where she retired from the federal
Naval Ship's Library as a library technician, where she completed a library
science curriculum. Memberships included the Daughters of the American
Revolution and the Florida Republican Women's Club.

   Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. on Friday,
March 4, 2011 at St. Bernadine's of Sienna in Suitland, MD. Interment
following in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
