| Anna D. McAdams, 72, a homemaker who engaged in community and charity endeavors in the Washington area, died Sept. 12 of pulmonary embolism at her home in Lampasas, Tex., where she had lived since 1990. |

| She was born Anna D. Fogle in Washington and graduated from Eastern High School and Strayer Business College. She worked briefly on Capitol Hill before marrying Harry E. McAdams. She was a former resident of Sleepy Hollow in Fairfax County. |

|
| Mrs. McAdams was nicknamed Cherub by her family, because she was always concerned about others. She assisted in efforts to combat HIV/AIDS and volunteered with Catholic Charities USA. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Washington. |

| Mrs. McAdams had decided that she wanted to help children who are in need of dental services because of birth defects or neglect. A healthy smiles fund was set up in her name at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. |

| Besides her husband of 51 years of Lampasas, survivors include three children, Lisa McAdams of Moscow, Curtis K. McAdams of Round Rock, Tex., and Michael J. McAdams of Washington. |
