Giacomo Benito Ferrari

  Giacomo Benito Ferrari, 74, a former wholesale liquor salesman, died of cancer April 20 at Casey House Hospice in Rockville. He was an Edgewater resident.
  Mr. Ferrari, known as Jack, was born in the District to parents who had immigrated from Florence, Italy. After graduating from      Chamberlain Vocational High School, he served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 and then entered the restaurant business as co-owner and manager of Suitland Restaurant in Suitland. From 1971 until his retirement in 1993, he was a wholesale liquor salesman with International Distributors Co.  A lifelong athlete, he enjoyed golf, softball, football, basketball and bowling.
  His marriage to Barbara Ferrari ended in divorce.
  Survivors include four children, Joni Metcalf of the District, Jacqueline Ferrari-Wiltshire of Rockville, Christopher Ferrari,          previously of Waldorf, and Alisa Decatur of Culpeper; a sister, Theresa Smith of Edgewater; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
