| Elizabeth J. Betsey Paquin, 93, a homemaker and volunteer, died April 7 of complications from Alzheimer's disease at Sunrise at Mount Vernon. She had lived in Alexandria for the past 53 years. |

| Mrs. Paquin volunteered with Meals on Wheels, the Hollin Hall Elementary School library, the Campfire Girls and, for 15 years, Martha Washington Library. She was also a member of Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church. |
|
|
| She enjoyed reading, playing the piano, cross-stitching and traveling. She was a member of several bridge clubs. |
|
|
| Mrs. Paquin was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, and lived in several states before settling in Washington, where she graduated from Central High School. She moved to New York and returned to Washington in the mid-1930s to work for the Soil Conservation Service and later the Selective Service System. |
|
|
| She married in 1940 and two years later became a full-time homemaker. Her husband of 37 years, Gerard A. Paquin, died in 1977. |
|
|
| Survivors include two children, John R. Paquin and Karen E. Paquin, both of Springfield; and two grandsons. |
