Barbara Jean Cresse, 78, from Mountain Home,
died of natural causes Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at
a Boise hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Thursday,
January 6, 2011, at Rost Funeral Home McMurtrey Chapel
in Mountain Home.
Barbara was born August 14, 1932 in Los Angeles, CA to George M. and
Mary E. Megica. She graduated from Central High School in Washington,
DC in 1951 and then attended George Washington University.
She met Jerre at Randolf Air Force Base and they married at Lackland Air
Force Base on August 10, 1956. Barbara and Jerre had three sons, Steve,
Dave, and Bill; and now have two granddaughters, Emma and Quinn. Barbara
was a devoted sister, wife, and mother; an avid reader, and loved movies.
Barbara also enjoyed travel. She traveled extensively in Europe during Jerre's
Air Force career, and later opened and managed the Global Travel office in
Mountain Home.
She was a former President of the Mountain Home Rotary Club.
She is survived by her husband Jerre, sister Elizabeth and brother in law
Ralph Short, son William and daughter in law Ktrina, and son Steven and
daughter in law Karen. She is preceded in death by her father and mother and
son David.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mountain Home Senior
Citizens Center, 1000 N 3rd E, Mountain Home, ID 83647.
