Doris Sara Schuman
February 20, 1938 - September 18, 2020
Long time teacher of English and History at Washington's Coolidge High School
and life-long resident of the DC area passed unexpectedly on September 18, 2020 at
the age of 82.
Doris had a long love affair with history and her students and was a highly committed
educator.
Following Doris' retirement from teaching, she continued sharing her love and
command of history as a tour guide for groups visiting DC and also volunteered with
Travelers Aid at Washington National Airport.
Doris never married and had no children but leaves to cherish her memory her
beloved friends and extended family who dearly miss her.
A virtual memorial service is planned for some time in the near future.
