On Monday, August 25, 2008 at Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD. She is survived by parents Henry and
Gloria Cole; children Kirk E.H. Reid, Candace T. King and John King, Jr.; granddaughter, Ashley Satterfield;
and grandson, Maximillian Reid; sisters, Rev. Sylvia van Laar, Dr. Linda McKay, Alice Williams (Kenneth);
and brothers, Bishop Henry N. Cole (Renee) and Don Cole (Pamela); and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends. Family will receive visitors and friends on Saturday, September 6 from 10 to 11 a.m.
at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 1310 Vermont Ave., NW, Washington, DC, immediately followed by a
Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shelia High King Scholarship Fund and
mailed to Educational Global Associates, Inc., 255 42nd St., N.E., Washington, DC 20019. Arrangements by
