| Leo M. Rishty, 77, a Washington area clothier, died of congestive heart failure Dec. 10 at his home in Rockville. | ||||||
| Mr. Rishty was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to the District as a youngster in 1934. He graduated from Coolidge High School and entered the Navy soon after. | ||||||
| Returning to Washington after his military service, he joined the family business, Young Fair Children's Clothes. The business had stores in Langley Park, Springfield and the District. Mr. Rishty operated the Springfield and Langley Park stores. | ||||||
| He was an artist, and his oil paintings were displayed throughout the Washington area. He also was a professional dancer and dance instructor. He played golf. | ||||||
| He volunteered at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington and was a longtime member of Magen David Sephardic Congregation in Rockville. | ||||||
| His marriage to Shirley Franco Rishty ended in divorce. | ||||||
| Survivors include a daughter, Carol Chera of Brooklyn; a sister, Pat Shweky of Bethesda; his companion of 22 years, Rona Miller of Rockville; and five grandchildren. | ||||||
