Reas L. McClannan

Reas L. "Mac" McClannan, 70, a retired Washington Gas salesman, died Dec. 25 after a heart
attack at his winter home in New Port Richey, Fla.

Mr. McClannan, a longtime Clinton resident, worked for 30 years at Washington Gas until
retiring in 2003. He had previously been a salesman in home improvement at Sears.

Reas Lloyd McClannan was born in Lima, Ohio, and raised in Southeast Washington. He
graduated from
Anacostia High School in 1957. He served in the Navy in the 1960s.

Mr. McClannan was a lifetime member of the Elks club in Camp Springs.

His marriage to Kay Craufe ended in divorce.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Elsie Yates McClannan; two children from his first
marriage, Rich McClannan of Apollo Beach, Fla., and Mickey McClannan of Atlanta; and three
grandchildren.
