Paul Joseph Devine

Paul Joseph Devine, 74, of Marshall, VA departed December 28, 2009.
He was born in Washington, DC on March 19, 1935 to Daniel and
Margaret Devine. A twin sister Clair Jordan precedes Paul in death.

Paul graduated in 1954 from
Anacostia High School. He served four
years in the United States Navy.  Paul retired in 1978 after 25 years of
service as the Captain of the Fort Myer Fire Department.  After his
retirement Paul enjoyed restoring antique tractors and cars as well as
participating in car shows and hunting. He held memberships with the
Franconia Volunteer Fire Department, charter member of the Great
Springfield Fire Department, Alumni member International Firefighters
Association, Ancient Order of Hibernians, American Legion, Emerald
Society and 37 years with the Moose Lodge #1076.  

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Carroll Devine, son Ronald
Devine and wife Brenda of Burke, VA, three grandsons; Benjamin and
wife Jillian of Chantilly, VA, Randall and Christopher Devine of Burke,
VA.  

The family will receive friends on Fri. Jan. 1, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Moser
Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave. Warrenton, VA .  A second visitation
will be on Sat. Jan. 2 from 12 until service time at 1PM.  Burial will
follow in the Devine Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the Orlean Volunteer Fire
Department P.O. Box 15 Orlean, VA 20128.

Devine of Burke, VA. The family will receive friends on Friday,
January 1, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home, 233
Broadview Ave. Warrenton, VA . A second visitation will be on
Saturday, January 2 from 12 until service time at 1 p.m. There will
be a reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the Orlean Volunteer Fire Department, Company
11, P.O. Box 15 Orlean, VA 20128.
