Helen A. Stanley

Helen A. Stanley, 92, a former medical receptionist, died June 29 at the National Lutheran Home for the Aged in Rockville, where she lived. She had cancer.
Mrs. Stanley was a native Washingtonian and graduated from Anacostia High School. She was a hairdresser as a young woman and worked as a receptionist at a Washington medical office in the 1950s and early '60s.
She was a former member of the Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the District.
Mrs. Stanley lived in Maine for several years in the 1960s before moving to Annapolis. She had lived at the Lutheran home for the past year.
Her first husband, Edward A. Giesing, died in 1954 after 21 years of marriage.
Her second husband, Philip R. Stanley, whom she married in 1961, died in 1987.
Survivors include four children from her first marriage, Jane Morgan of Stuart, Fla., Patricia Garrity of Tampa, Frances DiBari of Arlington and Edward Giesing of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
