| Helen A. Stanley, 92, a former medical receptionist, died June 29 at the National Lutheran Home for the Aged in Rockville, where she lived. She had cancer. |

|
| Mrs. Stanley was a native Washingtonian and graduated from Anacostia High School. She was a hairdresser as a young woman and worked as a receptionist at a Washington medical office in the 1950s and early '60s. |
|
|
| She was a former member of the Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the District. |
|
| Mrs. Stanley lived in Maine for several years in the 1960s before moving to Annapolis. She had lived at the Lutheran home for the past year. |
|
|
| Her first husband, Edward A. Giesing, died in 1954 after 21 years of marriage. |
|
|
| Her second husband, Philip R. Stanley, whom she married in 1961, died in 1987. |
|
|
| Survivors include four children from her first marriage, Jane Morgan of Stuart, Fla., Patricia Garrity of Tampa, Frances DiBari of Arlington and Edward Giesing of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. |
