Conrad Waltermere Judy

Conrad Waltermere Judy Sr., 79, who retired as deputy chief financial officer from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in 1987, died May 3 at his son's home in Centreville. He had lymphedema, congestive heart failure and cancer.
A certified public accountant, Mr. Judy was also budget officer before retiring from the bureau after 31 years of service.
He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and grew up in Washington, where he graduated from Anacostia High School. He served in the Navy during World War II as a storekeeper on the provision ship USS Gordonia. He later graduated from Strayer's Business College in Washington.
Mr. Judy was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington and a Masonic lodge. He was a resident of Edgewater.
His wife, Virginia Bozarth Judy, died in 2005.
Survivors include two sons, Conrad Judy II of Centreville and Christopher Judy of Edgewater; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
