| Conrad Waltermere Judy Sr., 79, who retired as deputy chief financial officer from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in 1987, died May 3 at his son's home in Centreville. He had lymphedema, congestive heart failure and cancer. |

| A certified public accountant, Mr. Judy was also budget officer before retiring from the bureau after 31 years of service. |
|
|
| He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and grew up in Washington, where he graduated from Anacostia High School. He served in the Navy during World War II as a storekeeper on the provision ship USS Gordonia. He later graduated from Strayer's Business College in Washington. |

|
| Mr. Judy was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington and a Masonic lodge. He was a resident of Edgewater. |
|
|
| His wife, Virginia Bozarth Judy, died in 2005. |
|
|
| Survivors include two sons, Conrad Judy II of Centreville and Christopher Judy of Edgewater; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. |
