| Clara Nerpiol Cagiwa Young, 76, a former administrative assistant with three federal agencies, died Sept. 22 of an autoimmune disease at the Villages Hospice House in the Villages, Fla. She had lived in Lady Lake, Fla., since 1997. |

| Mrs. Young was born in Annapolis and grew up in Washington, where she graduated from Anacostia High School. She was an administrative assistant with the CIA, the Naval Gun Factory and NASA before retiring from the government in 1979. |
|
| She later worked for Geo-Centers, a private contracting company in Fort Washington, until 1994. |
|
|
| Mrs. Young lived in Oxon Hill for many years and was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Washington. She was a member of the women's auxiliaries of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Knights of Columbus. |

|
| Her first husband, Bernard G. Cagiwa, died in 1975. |
|
|
| A son, Gary Cagiwa, died in 2005. |
|
|
| Survivors include her husband of nine years, Thomas Young of Lady Lake; a son from her first marriage, Larry Cagiwa of Waldorf; a brother, Thomas Nerpiol of Ocean View, Del.; two sisters, Marcella Palmer of Port Tobacco and Carol Jarboe of La Plata; and four grandchildren. |
