Columbus, GA- Carl Sylvester Saunders, 70 of
13 Creekway Apt. 13C, Columbus passed Monday
January 9, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Saturday
January 14, 2012 at Word of Revelation Ministry,
3941 Cusseta Road with Pastor Terry Jefferson
officiating.
Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery
according to Hill-Watson-People's Funeral Service
LLC. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-6:00PM today,
Friday January 13, 2012 at the Rose Hill Chapel of
Hill-Watson-People's Funeral Service LLC, 2919 Hamilton Road.
Mr. Saunders was born July 6, 1941 in Washington DC son of the
late James and Mrs. Margaret Green Saunders. Carl was educated in
the District of Columbia public schools where he graduated from
Anacostia Senior High School. He worked as a Nursing Assistant at
St. Elizabeth Hospital in Washington for 24 years and Total Systems
Services in Columbus as a Custodian.
Carl leaves to cherish his memories other than his mother, his wife
Hazel L. Saunders; daughters, Carla L.(Sam) Barnes and Carol A.
Saunders, Waldorf MD; a brother James(Lorraine) Saunders, Silver
Springs, MD; sisters, Joanne(Lawrence) Warren, Washington, DC,
Patricia(Cornelius) Moore, Raleigh, NC and Deborah Latta,
Washington, DC; 4 stepchildren; 10 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
