| This Site is dedicated to all who lived in Washington DC during the 50's, when I thought, now as I look back, it was a magical time. One could walk the streets at night and not have to fear for your life. A time when you could leave the doors to your house unlocked and not having to worry about intruders. (I never had a doorkey). One could ride the trolly throughout the city and not have your family worry about your return. Yes, it was a great time, and the Schools listed is where some of us attended. Below is what was known then as "The Avenue" 7th & Pennslyvania Avenue SE, now known as Capitol Hill, WOW!! Imagine that. |
